My artistic journey is about exploring its elements and principles. I focus on line, light, and shadows; their depth, form, weight and substance. By investigating these paths, my goal is to find a route to a new way of seeing. As I continue on my artistic expedition, I’ve found that I’ve become a stronger, more confident artist by pushing myself to make discoveries, failures and accidents. As an art instructor once told me: “Explore. Make mistakes. Don’t stop.” I have taken his advice to heart, and it helps to fuel my continuing adventure of artistic enlightenment.
